Sega has decided to have a sale on the App Store which it is calling the “99c Loves Me Sale!”.
It’s classed as a Valentine’s Day 7-day sale, but the release of the Verizon iPhone is also brought up as an excuse to celebrate by buying one of the games.
We don’t mind what is being celebrated as there’s some decent games in this line up. 19 titles in all have had their prices cut by 80% or come down to 99 cents.
The games reduced to 99 cents include:
- Altered Beast
- ChuChu Rocket
- ChuChu Rocket HD (iPad)
- Columns
- Ecco the Dolphin
- Golden Axe
- Gunstar Heroes
- Phantasy Star II
- Shining Force
- Shinobi III
- Super Monkey Ball 1
- Super Monkey Ball 2
- Super Monkey Ball 2 Sakura Edition (iPad)
- Sonic Spinball
- Streets of Rage
- Virtua Fighter 2
- Sonic the Hedgehog 1
- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
- Sonic 4 Episode 1
The sale is listed as running for 7 days, so we expect it will end with the end of Valentine’s Day at midnight on February 14.

ReplyDeletestreets of rage for iphone...ahhhh seriously considering fueling the apple machine.
ReplyDeleteSuper Monkey Ball is crazy awesome
ReplyDeleteKUSHtunes - me too, though getting an overpriced phone wont earn me much respect where I am from.
ReplyDeleteMight be getting me some Sonic games.
ReplyDeleteget them, some of them are pretty cool
ReplyDeleteGlad I have an ipod touch. I can get every single game for free though, but I'm not doing that, only sometimes when I want to try the game.
ReplyDeleteEcco the dolphin, so many memories!
ReplyDeletei would get golden axe but i dont have an itouch =/
ReplyDeleteSome good games in that list! However, iphone/touch for video games just doesn't work for me... Although I have a sad feeling that when the 3ds has been out for awhile, they'll make a 3DSi where it will function on phone plans as well.
ReplyDeletethat's awesome, i'm definitely picking up those sonic's... retro gaming ftw
ReplyDeleteTorrents ftw ^.^
ReplyDeleteSega holy shit, that's takin me back. I used to play sonic religiously
