New Game from BUNGIE

will this game be the new biggest online multiplayer first person shooter there is? check it out.....

Bungie's next game is to be an massively multiplayer first-person shooter titled Destiny, if recent rumour reports are to be believed.

Kotaku is citing a source that details Bungie's first game for
Activision, which is reportedly a sci-fi shooter set in space, and as expected it's to be an MMO which is described as "WoW in Space". It's currently called Destiny, though bear in mind Bungie often has numerous working titles for its games - Halo was, at various points in its development, called both Blam! and Monkey Nuts.

The source for Kotaku's report - a "recently terminated contractor" - also cites unfair treatment at Bungie as well as "budgetary concerns" which led to Activision requesting the layoffs. A poster on Bungie's forums has since discredited those claims, saying "Bungie has never been asked to lay off any employees or contract employees by our publisher, Activision-Blizzard, for any reason."

The suggestion that Bungie's next project is to be a sci-fi massively multiplayer first person shooter was not discredited, however, and the details chime in with what the studio has been hinting about its new game: at GDC last year Bungie's Joseph Staten told attendees "Wouldn't it be great if we could make a world that was always there for you?"
